I cannot see Disney doing something like Avengers or X Men as movies (years of continuity issues would be a problem to translate to a simple hour and a half film intended for all families and not just the comic book geeks who read the stories). Besides stuff like X-Men only works well if it's intended for a mature audience, kiddify it too much and it's hard to take seriously. All themes of prejudice and intolerance found in X-Men would be lost.

However certain characters can work well in a kid-friendly scenario. Power Pack or the Pet Avengers come to mind.

I have nothing against the idea. Although for me, I think it would depend on how they go about representing the characters and setting. There are some comics and heroes that I can only imagine in certain, specific atmospheres, whereas there are others that could be done in a number of ways. It's an interesting thought though, and definitely has potential.
