This film has a lot of plot holes and contrivances that weaken the storytelling of the film. This has an effect in the setting, events in the movie, and Belle/Beast's relationship. film has to be consistent in its storytelling and this is not.

This movie is excused for having the issues it does, and people say "It's BatB, so it's okay", and they come up with excuse after excuse to get around the issues, but they complain about the same issues in other movies.

If this films wins because it's Beauty and the Beast, I don't know what I will do.

Also The Little Mermaid fillers and lots of them.

In the end I think this will end up being a showdown between Mulan and The Little Mermaid. Personally, I can't find a single plot hole or unnecessary/boring scene in either movie.

My least fave is Mulan. I like the movie, but Mulan's sort of a boring character (yeah, yeah, she's the most feminist out of all of them but I dunno, she's sort of flat for some reason) I wasn't to fond of the soundtrack either. My fave is a tie between BatB and TLM. Still haven't seen Tangled, but I like the songs I heard from the sountrack.

Despite how well this movie is, it was too much over the top between Eugene, Rapunzel and Mother Gothel.

The plot is pretty air-tight, but other than that, it lacks in comparison to the others. I would say that the plot holes in BatB should bring it down a bit, but I do think the rest of the movie makes up for it in a way that PatF and Aladdin don't.
First of all, the score is fantastic, but I've found few people who really enjoy the songs, and a lot of them just lie there. Also, the humor is really forced in a lot of cases. Read, Flynn's dialog, it sounds like it came out of a DreamWorks script. Even before I saw other people say this, I said Tangled is what I'd expect from a Disney/ DreamWorks colab. Also, Mother Gothel is a great villain, but Rapunzel and Flynn are entirely unoriginal. They both feel like the former princes/esses were put in a blender. Rapunzel's time in the tower never seemed to affect her interactions- she was scared Flynn (wouldn't YOU knock out an intruder?), a bunny (nothing to do with interactions with people,) indecisive, and scared of the thugs (who wouldn't be?) And she was perfectly fine with the thugs after about thirty seconds. She was perfectly comfortable around people and had fine social skills in the town. I've never had personal experience with this kind of abuse and brainwashing, but that just doesn't seem realistic to me. Also, again, while having no outside experience with people, she was able to perfectly easily blackmail Flynn. Another thing is how everyone takes to her immediately. I just think it is a flaw in character construction that she takes no everything IMMEDIATELY and has little trouble with anything. And has legitimately NO FLAWS. That's just unrealistic.

Or Tangled but I get quite bored during this, the story goes somehow too slowly.

@rhythmicmagic, OI agree with you on everything you said about Tangeld, and you pretty much covered it why I feel the way I feel about the movie. Rapunzel is kind of like Snow White in a way, and what i mean about that is that both of them blend into situations without much struggle and thought into it, which is why these two characters seem so unrealistic at times. That is why Rapunzel is on the lower half of my favorite princess list. Her experience in the tower does not affect her AT ALL, and knows how to react and do certain things that could not have been done by someone who has been isolated for 18 years. Flynn's dialogue, humor, and the dialogue and humor over the entire film is why I dislike it more than Aladdin and bothers me more. I agree with you on the Disney/DreamWorks collab, and being just a good DreamWorks film, but when it comes to story and contrivances, it lacks compared to BatB... at least for me

Not very spectacular animation, most of the characters are annoying and most of the score is unmemorable

Mulan is a good movie, but objectively speaking it's not a particularly strong one...in the English version the casting of the voice actors is a problem that results in sometimes grating shifts of tone, and its just not as epic as all the other movies left, not because of the characters or the story, but because the animation is overall to simplistic to leave a lasting impression.
