Jaq is more like a mentor. Flounder is a friend more than a mentor. I see friends as sidekicks

Flounder was a bit annoying (I found myself wanting to shake him...alot) and Jaq seemed more helpful.

Jaq more or less makes half of the movie. And he helps Cinderella until the very end. Flounder mostly vanishes for half of the movie due to his inability to leave the water, leaving Sebanstian and Scuttle to take care of Ariel.

Nope, there wasn't. Just so you know, I changed my pick to Jaq some hours before the pick closed in behalf of Flounder.

Isn't that unfair? Not to vote the character you honestly want to have gone, but the second in line to make sure your fav stays? Seems to defeat the purpose of a countdown for me...

I love both and it was hard to choose but Flounder did helped a lot. He saves Ariel from drowning when she becomes human. Also he was during "Kiss the Girl". He also helped Ariel reach the boat and rescued Eric from Flotsam and Jetsam.

@Swanpride Sincerely, I explained what I did to you because I honestly didn't care if you'd think that's unfair (I actually expected something like that). People are free to change their picks all the time. I'd defeat the purpose of the countdown if I messed up with other people's picks.

don't really like either but i love flounder more because he is so cute!

He doesn't really add anything to the plot except to be someone Ariel has to talk to before Sebastian comes around so she's not just like *exposition exposition exposition*
