Basically, Battle Royale is a book/movie where a class of junior high kids think that they’re going on a field trip, but in the bus they’re gassed, abducted, and they wake up in an abandoned school with electronic collars around their necks. They’re told that they’re on a remote island, and that they have three days to kill each other off until there’s only one person left, or else the collars on their necks will explode and kill them instantly. They each get a bag which contains food, water, a flashlight, a compass, a map of the island, and a random weapon. Some people get lucky when it comes to the weapons, such as getting a pistol or an army knife, while others aren’t so lucky, getting items such as binoculars or a paper fan. It's all based on luck. Just when they thought it couldn’t get any worse, the island also has updated areas which they call “danger zones.” If they enter one of these danger zones, their collars automatically explode, causing the students to slowly confront each other. If there’s more than one survivor by the end of the three days, the collars all explode and there is no winner. I know it sounds like an awful story lol, but it’s actually a FANTASTIC movie. I’ve still yet to read the book.

lol. Hands down. I've seen the movie 1 & 2 on dvd. My cousin and his girlfriend let my borrow it. Pretty good.
