yeah but no offence, belle's beautiful both inside and out but she doesn't actually show much evidence of being smart. just cos she's a bookworm doesn't necessarily mean she's smart. as far as brains go, pocahontas, mulan and jasmine win this and in terms of looks, aurora and jasmine (in my opinion anyway). so jasmine or pocahontas FTW

She was absolutely gorgeous AND she was able to outsmart two whole armies.

Belle would be second, as she's definitely very beautiful. But she's more of a book-worm, because we never actually see her showing actual brains.

I still don't get why people think Belle is smart.

then Belle-i thought she did a pretty good job answering the Beast back when she was cleaning his injured arm. plus, she can be sooo sarcastic-funny :Gaston's obnoxious voice : I've come to propose to the girl I'm going to marry! Do you know who THAT is ,Belle? Belle: (rolls eyes) Oh...Let me think...

Duh. Pocahontas is by far the most gorgeous disney girl imo and most importantly she has real wisdom that is not limited to reading romantic novels and re-reading them for 3 and more times like Belle and in contrast to Belle, Pocahontas actually DOES use her intellegence in order to influent the story whereas Belle's brains end up being pretty much irrelevant because she gets everything solely because of her gorgeous looks in the end.

I have proof of Belle's smartness, and I don't see how Pocahontas is so smart. All she did was bring peace that not exactly smartness- that's wisdom people -_- But Mulan has REAL SMARTS, whereas Belle has smoothness and an education, and Pocahontas has wisdom (ONLY wisdom), Mulan used Physics and maybe science or math, and has nice looks. Am I the only person in Fanpop who understands intelligence?

Mulan was definitely smart, but she's also the only Disney Princess who is neither described as beautiful nor stuns anyone with her beauty. So, even if Mulan is beautiful it's not really part of her story. IMHO, it's ambiguous whether or not Mulan is supposed to be beautiful.

I think Jasmine is the only Disney Princess who is explicitly described as both smart and beautiful. When Aladdin describes what's so special about her, he says she's smart and funny, and then tries to describe her beauty.

There are numerous times in the story when Jasmine's intelligence and beauty are important to the plot.

If Jasmine weren't so smart...well, she might not have impressed Aladdin or maybe their relationship would just be a shallow case of Aladdin liking a pretty girl for being so pretty. And maybe she would have married "Prince Ali" without ever realizing he was the street rat (my god how dumb would that be).

If Jasmine weren't so pretty...well, she wouldn't have been able to confuse and generally beguile Jafar. Or Aladdin, really. A lot of the humor in the movie depends on how she confounds Aladdin.
