Author's Note: The basic plot of this story is that all the princesses live in kingdoms surrounding each other, and all the villains band together to start a man-made sort of apocalypse that the princesses and some of the princes/sidekicks have to band together to save their kingdoms. Sort of a twisted fairytale sort of thing, but a bit más light. It's complicated.
Anna's Pov
The storm swirled around Anna, her eyes stinging with the icy snow that landed all around her. Her feet, still in her slippers from the night before barely clung to her feet as she trudged through the snow, tears rolling down her numb cheeks.
"Elsa!" She called into the darkness enveloping the woods. "Kristoff! Sven! Olaf!" She sought out the company of any one of her friends. Elsa could build them some sort of ice tower to rest in, and Kristoff knew his way around here, and could direct them somewhere safe. Sven could ride her back into town, and Olaf...well, Olaf at the very least could help give her hope.
But she had no one.
"Elsa!" She began listing the names fruitlessly again. "K-"
She tripped forwards and was met with a face full of snow. She tried to get up, but her numb legs provided no support.
"Help!" She cried. Numbly. "Help!"
Anna jolted awake, her eyes darting around her room. She was fine. She was warm and seguro in the castle. She could hear Elsa shuffling around in her room, and she could hear Kristoff's loud snores from down the hall, accompanied por even louder snoring from Sven, and she knew that Olaf would be somewhere in the castle. All was well.
Collapsing back onto her bed, Anna let out a huge sigh. What was wrong with her these days? She used to be optimistic and happy, and while she was like that during the day, at night all she could see was Hans' sword pointed at Elsa, and the storm raging around her as she grew weaker.
"Good morning, Anna!" A cheery voice shattered her thoughts. "How are tu today?" Olaf bounced into the room.
Anna smiled. "I'm great, Olaf." Cheerily, she stood up and paraded into the hallway, not caring that her hair was a mass of reddish-blonde and that she was still in her nightdress. Who cared how tu looked when tu were will family and friends, who loved tu regardless?
"Anna! We're going to town in 20 minutes! Get dressed!" Elsa scolded when Anna arrived in the dining room. She was smiling though, so Anna knew her sisters chastising wasn't real. She plopped down in a asiento at the large breakfast table, where soon, servants and maids were bustling in with food.
"Are Kristoff and Sven coming?" Anna asked through a mouthful of toast. She swallowed quickly as a maid shot the forgetful princess a look.
"Yes." Elsa replied as she set down her napkin. "Sorry about the rushed breakfast, but we want to be able to go before the crowds." Ever since her return to Arendelle, everyone had chased after the royal sisters obediently, peppering them with questions.
"It's alright." Anna said. "I'll get ready!"
And she dashed off, but she nearly ran into the messenger, who was entering through the door. She quickly apologised, but before she left, she caught wind of the conversation that was beginning.
"A message for queen Elsa, Princess Anna, Sirs Kristoff and Olaf...and Sven..." The messenger quirked an eyebrow.
"Yes?" Elsa asked.
"The other princesses - they say to send help immediately. They say, they say..."
Elsa waited patiently, though she looked worried at the messengers inability to say the words.
He leaned in closely to her, and Anna barely caught his words.
"They say it's the kingdom's end."
