I've already made an articulo like this for link, link, link, and link, and thought it was only right to do one for the amazing Pocahontas. Pocahontas has gone through a roller coaster on my list, most recently being 10th on my list, but I've always loved her. When I first came to the club, Pocahontas was my segundo favorite, and she's finally joined back into the parte superior, arriba 5, now coming in at 4 (3 if tu don't count Elsa). Well anyway let's get starting with me talking about why I amor Pocahontas!

Pocahontas is great in many ways, but I think there was one instance that really struck me as remarkable, and solidified my amor for her. That scene is the one when Nakoma tells Pocahontas that she sent Kocoum after Pocahontas, which ultimately got Kocoum killed, and John Smith sentenced to exile. Pocahontas could've back-lashed, but instead she says, "This is all my fault!" I find that extremely admirable, and something that is often over-looked when people describe her. It's a unique trait to Pocahontas, since most princesses would've either back-lashed, o cried, Pocahontas admitted that she was the one that got everyone into this, and wasn't in the least mad at Nakoma. I found that astounding, and oh so refreshing. Also, even after this mess, Pocahontas just doesn't mope around. She takes responsibility, and realizes that she's the only one that can stop this. She's very proactive, even if a bit slow to get there.

Nakoma in general just brings out the best in Pocahontas. I absolutely amor the opening scene we see of Pocahontas, where she's standing on the rock, having one of her infamous dramatic poses, and dives down into the water. It shows how adventurous and fun she is. Then, we get to see her spit water at Nakoma, which I loved seeing. I amor how her relationship with Nakoma is light-hearted and fun, yet they can rely and trust each other, and they know what's best for one another. I amor how there are so many traits to Pocahontas. She doesn't fit into the cookie cutter "fun" princess, but neither does she fit into the "serious" type princess. She has characteristics of both, which I find really fun and interesting to watch. Pocahontas handles herself with such elegance and grace, but at the same time jumps off cliffs, how awesome is that? Also, although she has knowledge that really is foreign for her age, she still makes mistakes, and isn't superwoman.

Another aspect that I amor about Pocahontas is how I relate to her. I've come to see más and más that we're similar in many ways, and it's a bit surprising, as I used to think how could I relate to some Earth-Goddess that runs around in the forest and is awesomely amazing, but I do see some similarities now. We're both extremely indecisive for one, and I amor how Pocahontas has such a tough time picking which way is her path. The compass scene where it points her to the right direction is such a powerful scene in my opinion, since it symbolizes how Pocahontas finally knows her path. I amor how Pocahontas isn't scared to take the path less followed, and how she welcomes change. That's something that I wish I could do, since often I feel I'm stuck in a rot and can't get out. Pocahontas lacks some common sense, since she doesn't even try to explain to her father the situation, but I find that's a quality that makes her más realistic, and human. Sometimes something is starring me straight in the face, but I wait till it's almost too late to do anything, since I'm scared that something might go wrong, and Pocahontas is clearly the same. I'm glad they gave this trait to Pocahontas, because many fictional characters in general just seem to figure everything out way too quickly and unrealistically.

All in all, Pocahontas is amazing. She's a fun character that really is más than the eye can see. She's very responsible, realistic, relateable, elegant, and more. I amor how she takes ownership of her action, isn't perfect, and how she is both fun, while having a serious side that gets her points across. Pocahontas is a wonderful princess, and she definitely deserves her long awaited spot in my parte superior, arriba 5! Thanks for reading, and expect another articulo like this either about Mulan, Jasmine, o Rapunzel soon! :)

So I never really got to experience much of fashion-culture growing up and have just recently begun to give it any focus o attention. I have heard of the rule that "Redheads shouldn't wear pink." and I have seen some people discuss this here on FanPop in terms of Ariel and her rosado, rosa dress. I have also read many comentarios debating Aurora's famous "Blue vs. rosado, rosa Dress". In those discussions, I heard a talented user on this site, link say things like "She's a Winter." etc. I thought that was so fascinating! I had never heard of this concept before so I decided to look into it. That is how I came...

Well, it's time for another articulo here in Scarletland! I admit, I had this need for wanting to make another articulo again, but I didn't know of what subject to make of. Then browsing around the Internet, the inspiration struck me: I could write about disney villains! Genius! Because that subject isn't trite and overdone at all! (/sarcasm)

Jokes aside, I've been these last days thinking and analyzing the disney villains más than usual (that is; I almost never think about them, so this was really unusual for me). Villains are essential for many of these movies, because if it weren't for them...

Saw an old pregunta publicado from a año hace that inspired me to write this. The pregunta was about which disney Princesses might make best friends, in pairs, based on commonalities. As I started to think about it, I found all of the commonalities to be quite interesting. So I decided to post my findings of commonalities (not go for the BFF route) just because I found it interesting what the princesses had so much in common. Hope tu guys do too:

Snow & Aurora:
Both were royal but fled to the forest to escape their villains. Both were put under a sleeping spell. Both like to dance and initiate...

Hi everyone! I recently learned about the Bechdel Test from a friend and have been wanting to write this articulo ever since. This test is, at its core, an analysis of how women are portrayed in popular culture. It reveals how much women tend to revolve around men in films, books, etc. To pass the test, a film (or any other work of fiction) must meet three requirements: the film must (1) have at least two named female characters (2) who talk to each other (3) about something other than a man. It seems so simple, right? Unfortunately a surprising number of films fail in at least one of these...

This was reposted due to an unwanted and frankly annoying troll spamming my last article

Over the years, I've noticed that people really HATE Aurora in Keys To The Kingdom from disney Princess encantada Tales: Follow Your Dreams. I've honestly never understood the hate she received, mainly because no one ever freaking EXPLAINS it! I've always asked and they just say "SHE SUCKS," o "SHE'S A GIRLY STEREOTYPE," o "SHE HAS A POP VOICE," and all that but they don't EXPLAIN! The reason this version of Aurora is so hated is even less explained than the plot holes in Frozen. First of all, Enchanted...

Okay, so I already did this, but with a different method. This time, I'll just be doing the regular way I always do it. Anyways, please keep in mind that this is my opinion, and we may disagree, so respect my opinion and I'll respect yours.

Enjoy the article! :)

13. Merida
In my opinion, she definitely isn't ugly, but she's not as pretty as the rest of the disney Princesses here. First, I absolutely amor her curly red hair! It's absolutely gorgeous. I also amor her eyes, they're very pretty, especially with the blue color to them. However, I do have a problem with her head. Her hair is...

Ok, so I'm going to lista my parte superior, arriba 10 favorito! disney Princess dresses. Since there's 10 spots, one Princess may be in the lista multiple times and another may not be on it at all. Before my number one I will lista honorable mentions that ALMOST made it onto my list. Time to start the list! Keep in mind that this is my opinion, and tu might not agree. Enjoy the article!

10. Belle's oro dress

Maybe it's a tad overrated, but I think it deserves a lot of the attention it gets. It's absolutely gorgeous! Just look at it! And this is coming from someone who hates that color, and even I have to admit...

All right, this is really part analysis and half rant so if tu dislike the disney Princesses (and if tu do I don't know why you're here!) o hate the ones who at any point need a man's help (which is all of them, but I'll get to that later), I don't recommend lectura this.

I also must warn you: I discuss stuff about every princess and we have THIRTEEN NOW, so it'll be long. Feel free to skim to your favorites, though, if tu wish, to make it shorter.

A lot of disney fans and critics alike accuse the Princesses, specifically the older ones, of "sitting around waiting for a prince", "waiting...

I was bored so I decided to write an articulo about which princesses look like which greek goddesses, since I'm greek and I amor the Greek Mythology. Enjoy!

Hera- Jasmine

Firstly, Hera has a serious problem with her temper, like Jasmine. She likes getting revenge and even though we don't see jazmín as revengeful, I believe that if someone hurts her, she won't forget it so easily (besides Aladdin, she forgives him every time, like Hera forgives Zeus). Also, Hera protects women which means she's a feminist, again like Jasmine. Another common, is thei history with their husbands. Zeus...

 Oh, I hate this one
Oh, I hate this one
I know shocking, the so called "Best movie ever" is disliked por me. I know most of tu are like "oh, this chick again here to perra about some más stuff." But I don't care I can state my Opinions even if I present them as though they are facts. About Frozen, No, I don't just hate I because it's so popular but the 'hype' I dislike as well, sorry but I dislike lots of things. Is there a problem? Anyway I recently made a muro post hoping to find someone that could tell me WHY they liked frozen so I could watch it with an Open mind.
