What do tu think probably happened to Doc?

Yeah i know that Paul Newman is dead, but i just wonder what happened to Doc. After Mater and Lightning talk in his old museum when Mater says "Doc would be proud of you". Maybe his engine blew o he wrecked somehow, what do tu think happened to the Fabulous Hudson Hornet?

i seen the movie and he was only mentioned, not shown passing away

i watched this movie two days ago, and it had a museum, so that's what i assumed. Because in the first movie, he was still there, and it was his house. Now the house part of the museum is gone.

With sound animación tu could restore a voice even if it's bearer is dead already. That fate of Doc would be worth a new Radiator-Springs-Toon, if they ever would produce some of these.
