I'm curious about this anime, but my 17-year-old brother told me not to watch it. Should I watch it anyway?

I started watching Death Note when I was 14. When the English dub aired on Adult Swim it was rated TV-14, so if you've seen M rated anime, I don't see why there would be a problem. It's a very dark series and it can be bloody, but it's one of my favoritos and I would recommend it.

That's all well and good that tu have watched M rated animes, but there is a lot of content in that anime that is pretty disturbing. I think it has also even encouraged mass murders in other countries as well.... Whether this is true o not though, your brother wanted tu not to watch this anime for a reason and I think tu should respect his wishes. Though if tu really want to watch it, ask him if he will watch it with you.

I'm 17 as well. Actually this año is when I started getting into anime.

I will tell you, there are some bloody moments. No gore, just blood.

honetsly, its realy not that bad! theres alot wores out there, i watched it when i was 12, so im pretty sure tu should be able to watch it :) & its a pretty good mostrar aswell ^.^ so im sure youll enjoy it!

It's amazing tu really need to use your brain though it's extremely intelligent but that's what's so good about it :D

I'm fifteen and my b rother is 13 years older than me. He actually, half accidentally, half on prupose, got me on to anime. But he didn't know that I read/watch Death Note. So he sees it and says to me "Lady_Rebel, I thought tu wouldn't like this." And I dicho to him, "Halcyon, it's a battle of wits. I amor battles of wits." And them Mom chimed in. We had a lovely discussion of Death Note. I don't see any reason why tu shouldn't. Why don't tu ask him why?

i'm 14 now but i'vee watched Death note when i was 11 o something (it was my first anime ever)
my older siste told me to watch it (she was 23 years old)
and it's one of my favs animes ever ^_^

I'm 13 now, but my friend told me about it when I was 10 and I read it when I was 11. I've been too lazy to watch the anime, but I don't see what's too bad, but your brother should now what's best, and take his consejos o watch it in secret.

I'm 12, I adore death note, then again, I enjoy watching darker things, horror cine and such, but it's not particularly bloody, I'm 15 episodes deep and hooked, and so far the worst I have seen is a guy getting hit por a car, even then tu don't see his body. I wouldn't advise children to watch death note, I may be to young but I don't care, the shown has some mild swearing, damn and hell, but nothing too bad

So what happened? Did tu watch it? There are just too many animes to enjoy meanwhile, then when you're older tu can watch Death Note is what I think. It is pretty disturbing. Particularly the end parts. He might not watch it with tu because he himself found it disturbing, so why should tu have to go through that? Before all of this I was wondering if tu minded spoilers so I could tell tu what happens with the end to take away the harsh impact of it.
