Does anyone know what Dean's collar is of o represents?

I've seen many pictures of him wearing it. I'm just curious.

I just read Deana Martin's (Dean's daughter) book and she dicho that the collar was a oro Saint Christopher medal that his daughter Claudia had gotten him.

Dean was Catholic. He is wearing a round, silver Miraculous Medal, very common for men. I remember a picture of Peru Como wearing it too, I’m pretty sure he was also shirtless.
