Yes. He's just not with the right girl.Elena belongs with Damon! There are times where he has done or said things that really torked me off,(I have her respect) and always reminding Elena how bad Damon is, but he is flawed like everybody else, and considering his ripper past and present, I think he's got Damon on that one.

But I say, Get with Katherine! I enjoy seeing him sparring with words and body language with Kat, and his brotherly love/hate with Damon. I feel that is where he is most interesting as a character because he is more himself with those who know him already and accept and/or love him (excepting Elena, he is never fully at ease around her).

He seems a little hypocrite to me. Making Damon look like the baddie when he's worse. But telling Elena that Damon forced-fed her his blood because he loved her, was a very good thing to do. After all his attempts to convince Elena Damon was evil, I didn't expect it from Stefan. But like Elena once said about Damon, 'It's going to take a lot more than a saving to make me forget what he's done'

I don't hate him. And I like that he sacrificed all to save Damon the last episode. I really want the brothers relationship to work, But to me Stefan is not a great and interesting character. So I can't say I like him.

The only times I don't like him is when he tries to rub the fact that he's with Elena in Damon's face, or when he comes across as self-righteous (like 2x19), but other than that, I like him. I just think, like everyone has said, that he's not very interesting when he's with Elena. They're not right together, they make for a boring couple. Stefan is his most interesting either when he's feuding with Damon, on human blood, or with Katherine or Caroline or even in Season 1, with Bonnie. He IS an interesting character, he just needs someone else to bring it out. Elena doesn't.
