Critical Analysis of Twilight Have tu ever read any novels that started out as Twilight fanfiction, and were later published as novels? (See lista in first comment)
I'm really hating this publishing fan fiction thing. It's like diminishing the idea of creativity out of literature. Forever it'll just be someone else's work. Write your own fan fiction for fun but if you really want to publish something, think of your own plot. Stephanie should sue each and every one of those people. Honestly.
I read Fifty Shades of Grey and do not intend to read the other two parts of the series, and not just because of the fact that it was all a fan fiction first.
And concerning writing fan fiction for fun, yes, it is, and yes, I do. But I resent the implication that the plot I come up with are not my own, simply because the characters' names are those used elsewhere. I think up the plot, the settings, sometimes even the outcome of where those characters end up. Would I have thought up these plots if it weren't for "Twilight"? I don't know, but I still came up with them, and as the owner of the "plot," I reserve the right to share it with more people by reworking it and trying to get it published.
Haven't read the others listed on the page, but I read a little bit of "The Perfect Wife" and it astounds me that anyone would find a story like that good. Maybe I'm just not getting far enough into these stories to really understand what the author is trying to do.
There are others? Color me surprised.
