There are tons of anti stories out there, and mine is probably no different than yours. (If you, are, of course, an Anti.) However, it all started out the very día I picked up the book Twilight...
I heard many comentarios about Twilight, how wonderful the series was, and how wonderful Edward and Bella's amor was. As usual, I resisted. But my friends, who were all Twilight fans, kept insisting that I read the most amazing book in the history of books. So I'm like, "Hey! I missed out on Harry Potter-(I only read Harry Potter when I was nine, when I could have read it when I was seven, all because I had this aversion of hype.)-so why not give Twilight a chance?" Yeah. Why not give Twilight a chance? I borrowed the book from the library.
I read the book. But I was so disillusionised. There was none of the beautiful romance that my friends waxed lyrical about. Just two cardboard characters, a poor plot, and bad writing. Never mind-maybe it's just the first book, perhaps she wants to take things slow. I shall pick up New Moon. And so I did. (I read Twilight the time where all the Twilight libros had been published.)
I finished New Moon in a day. I was even más disillusionised. I HATED how Bella was weak after Edward left her. I hated the drama of the whole Edward-going-to-the-Volturi thing. He KNOWS Alice's visions aren't really substantial. Will it kill him to go to Forks and verify that Bella is dead o otherwise? OK, I said. Maybe this is the segundo book. Maybe the last one would be better. One last chance for the Twilight series-and that chance is Breaking Dawn.
So, skipping Eclipse, I read BD. No, wait. I BOUGHT Breaking Dawn and read it. Oh my goodness. I came out with wanting to take a torch and burning EVERY single Twilight book in the world. What is this *sputter* *sputter* *choke*... I literally was speechless for a week. I couldn't believe this was actually published. I couldn't believe I wasted my $20 on this book. I couldn't believe girls all over the world like Twilight. I couldn't believe anything anymore.
But instead of running around in my underwear, tearing my hair out, and screaming: "AH! I HATE TWILIGHT! I HATE TWILIGHT!", a dramatic change took place within me. I evolved. After I read it, I had an increased urge to go on the rooftops and proclaim to all the world that Twilight was a horrible book. I had evolved into something frightening to Twifans all around the globe: A TWILIGHT ANTI!
With my fellow Antis, I found my refuge. They were más disillusionised than me about the Twilight series-which was quite a feat. We discussed points-why we hated the books, and everything. I was in Heaven.
Today, I am still an anti. I will be an anti forever. For those of tu Twilight fans who say that Antis have not read the books, tu guys are wrong. We read the books, and disliked them. We saw the problems with the book. We aren't closed minded-quite the opposite actually. So, this is the story of how I became an Anti-which is quite like most others'.
Perhaps we don't see things that Twilight fans see, and see the things that Twilight fans don't see. It's perception that makes us different, but then, isn't perception what makes us all human? If we don't have perception, we are just living, breathing computers.
I would like to add that I amor all the Twilight fans, this articulo isn't meant to bash the Twilight fans. I have many friends who are Twilight fans and I amor them insanely. I just don't like the series. :)
Cheers,
MC.

There are some core things about the mythical creatures I wish Meyer would have dado an actual explaination for:
Vampires
1. Turning into bats
She could have explained it as bats are attracted to vampires, but she choose not to adress it at all.
2. Sleeping in a coffin
How about that having something to do with them faking their own death o something?
3. Lack of Fangs
An evolution over time to adapt.
4. Sunlight
Related to the fact vampiros are considered to be connected to the devil.
Werewolves
1. Full-Moon
They meet at the full-moon.
2. Their Anger Issues (yes, I know that some of the lobos have this)
It could have been explained as a reaction to the moons phases.
3. Pack- Mind
Evolved trait o even a gift from the spirits.
