Umm...Jesus?! He was born on 25th Dec.
I was also with a cold two days ago, still recovering, yesterday I couldn't sleep at all but , so far, so good!

It is in the winter because navidad is a very old tradition. It was known as Yule.
They used to celebrate navidad to bring back the light in the dark short and cold day's.

It has nothing to do with jesús at all. It is a very old Germanic/Celtic tradition.
It has to be in the winter because then the day's are the shortest.

Haha I just recovered from the mother of all colds... at least it felt like it.
