cristianismo Pregunta

A pregunta for Christians...

Do tu believe homosexuality, bisexuality, pansexuality, etc. is bad? If so, why?
I'm not Christian, so I don't know much about it. I have a Christian friend who is against it, and she says it is because of her religion. She will not elaborate, however, so I was curious.
What about Pagan religions? She's also very against those, so I was curious if tu were, as well.
Please explain why, if tu are, because that's what I'm really asking with this question.

Oh, and how do tu feel about tatuajes and haircuts?

I seem to be considered evil to most of you...

Just because Christians are/may be opposed to homosexuality, doesn't mean that they/we are against homosexuals. amor the sinner, hate the sin. It's up to GOD to judge. I do agree with THE WRITTEN WORD, but I follow jesús CHRIST, WHOM I do not believe in HIS TEACHINGS went against haircuts. OLD & NEW Testaments state that homosexuality is a sin. jesús sat with publicans & sinners, to encourage them to turn from their sinful ways por repenting & turning to HIM; HE & HIS DISCIPLES also ate on the Sabbath, stating that THE SON OFMAN IS ALSO LORD OF THE SABBATH. That sounds like religious/rules, when in jesús CHRIST, tu are free. JUST ACCEPT HIM & REPENT.

Yes, I do believe that homosexuality, bisexuality etc. is wrong. I believe it is wrong because God says it is.
"If a man practices homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman, both men have committed a detestable act. They must both be put to death, for they are guilty of a capital offense." Leviticus 20:13
"Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin." Leviticus 18:22
That's that. God says it, I obey it

First of all - yes, it does say in the bible that a man should not sleep with anyone other than his wife - it goes into all the different combinations including other men, animals, family members (other than wife).

It also says in the bible that we are not to be the ones judging others. So, for me if two consenting adults are sleeping together, as long as they are not hurting someone (ie a spouse), then I should not be passing judgement on them.

The point about Pagan religions is that God says he is a jealous God. If someone is worshipping some other God o object, that makes God jealous, and therefore we should not follow Pagan religions.

I notices that someone mentioned that we were not suppose to cut our hair. It does say that in the bible, however, 2 things:
1. The reason for it in the first place was that the cutting of hair was being used as a ceremony of mourning. This was not something God wanted done.
2. The laws of the first covenant (the laws that God had with his chosen) were replaced when jesús came. jesús did away with most of the laws leaving 2 - To amor God, and amor your neighbour as yourself.

As a Christian I believe that being homosexual, bisexual, and pansexual is a sin. Reason I do is because it's spoken against in many places in the Bible. I don't fully understand why God says it's sin, but I'm sure He has His reason.

"Thou shall not lie with a man as with womankind: it is abomination" Leviticus 18:22

Alright. So what about the Christians who believe it's okay? Are they wrong?

Personally I think they're wrong since it is clearly spoken in several places. People who want to deny that it's a sin often 'twist' the words of the Bible to mean something different. As for tatuajes and haircuts I don't have anything morally against those, since they're not spoken against.

I don't believe in homosexuality o any of those. As the others stated , those verses from the Bible are why Christians do not believe in same sex marriage ect. However as Christians we are not supposed to be mean to, rude too o discriminate against people who do believe in that , so although I don't believe in that I don't judge somone if they do since we all are free to have our own beliefs . As for pagan religions I don't know as much about but I am against those. tatuajes and haircuts are fine to me , but I do think that tatuajes should have meaning and not just be something unnecessary o inappropriate . Those all are my beliefs as a Christian but everyone has their own beliefs. Hope this helped, these are my personal feeling as thoughts based off of the Bible :)

But about the haircuts, didn't Leviticus 19:27 forbid haircuts? Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know.

I don't believe in any of that... accept haircuts?
This is the most people I've seen against it in one place in... EVER!
WOW!
But, it is clearly in the bible, so I can't stand people the pick and choose parts of the bible to believe, but still call themselves christians.

There are multiple references in the bible to the cutting of hair, which is probably why it was included here. Basically, the bible says that at the very least men have to have short hair and women have to have long hair. And there are specific ways men are supposed to cut their hair/beards. Women aren't mentioned much because the bible doesn't mention women much in general unless it is in reference to men.
