It's a tough choice between Anya and Spike.

angel needed to leave! spike dying was good as he then ended up on angel which was hilarious, the body was a amazing episode, tara needed to die for s6 to work and briley had seriously run it's course

did spike appear on angel? thats a reason not to watch it!

It's hard because "The Body" was so amazing, but her death really made the tone more depressing than the show could handle, IMO

buffyan- seriously, I think you should watch Angel. Spike was only in season 5 of Angel, which is arguably the best season (my personal favorite is season 1 because of I Will Remember You, but second is season 5). It's an awesome spinoff, and besides, you'll finally understand the conversations we have about "caveman vs. astronaut" and "you're a wee little puppet man!" lol.
At least watch the first episode, and then see if you like it. But if you're really debating on whether or not to watch it, if you're a Bangel fan, then start with season 1 episode 8 I Will Remember You.

i am just watching the first episode.i quite like it,but it keeps having to buffer, and it won't show part 2. does anybody know any where that has angel online for free?

Spike needed to die to go to Angel, so even though he's my favorite I won't pick him. Angel season five is the best season, Angel and Spike around each other are hilarious.

And Tara needed to die to send Willow over the edge, but Anya's was truly a pointless death.

I agree that Tara had to die, but it totally destroyed Willow, I hate watching the end of the season, when Willow is crying and Xander is with her it just breaks my heart.

I'm gonna go with Anya. Angel is one of my fave charactrs, but I also love his show...and there wouldn't have been and Angel show if he hadn't left Buffy. Spike needed to die to be on Angel in season 5 and make it so fuuny :) lol...Smile Time...good times :) Anyways, I agree with debs 'bout Briley...and I think that Riley should have stayed gone too...that ep in season 6 annoys me. Tara's death was really hard, but it was what needed to happen for season 6 as Nika and debs pointed out. That really leaves me with just Joyce and Anya. Joyce's death is so hard to watch, but Anya's was completely pointless as Nika said. All it showed was that there are casulties in war...and I sortof kinda, knew that.

buffyfan, part 2 of ep 1 can be found in the comments. I also had problems with the buffering, so I downloaded this free software that makes the buffering go faster. You may still have to pause it and wait a few mins, but it shouldn't take to long. I didn't watch Angel for the longest time cuz I was so mad that he left Buffy...yah I know, lame :) But to make a long stroy short, I watched it and then couldn't stop. And Spike is great in season 5! The banter between him and Angel is just great. Anyways, here is the software...hope that helps you out. I can't pick one of them, I thought all of them leaving or dying were good moves. My only disappointment when Anya died was that she was the only one, Wood and Andrew should've gone as well...and if they'd had the balls to do it, Xander and (if only) Dawn too.

That's why Angel is so good, they killed off three major characters in the 2nd half of S5, soooooooo good.

angel is the one i like the most out of these characters so theres one reason anothr is that anya and spike died on the last ever and spike still managed to come bck in angel s5 so he didnt really go and we didnt have to miss them for long! and tara and joyces deaths made great storylines! even if i wasnt that big a fan of them! lol!

I like how he ended up on Angel! =D (Some of the funniest lines ever!) But i LOVE this guy SO much - he just can't die!

I didn't mind that Spike died because it was a sweet way to go out. I haaated him on Angel. They made him the butt of all the jokes when he'd come so far on Buffy. It was so stupid. I thought Spike's character deserves more than that.

well now that i am watching angel i absolutely LOVE him!!!!!! he's so much better in his show!! i do still not like him in buffy but i have seen his funny side and him in love with cordy instead of constantly obsessing about buffy.
