"THE ESSENCE OF THE FIRST SLAYER’S POWER"

One of the más controversial characters that has appeared on "BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER" happened to be the character known as the First Slayer. First introduced in the Season Four finale, (4.22) "Restless", the First Slayer’s presence stirred a great deal of controversy amongst the series’ fans and critics. However, I am not really interested in the controversies that have surrounded the character. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is en general, general very gay-friendly with its lesbian romances between Willow and Tara, and later Willow and Kennedy, as well as the minor Larry character in the earlier seasons. Before Willow met Tara, though, the mostrar was gay-friendly but mostly in metaphor. There are various allusions to how being a Slayer is like being gay, as well as a minor character (Michael) whose witchcraft seems also a metaphor for being gay.
