Any fantasía o Sci-Fi libros I should read?

I know tu dicho no twilight but it's por the same author...
THE HOST!!! (I loved that book and it's not anything like the twilight series)

The shining (more suspense but excellent read)
Legend (wonderful book but very dramatic)
Jurassic park (book I'm currently lectura and if tu can't find it look for the autor Michael crichton)
The game of thrones ( never read the series but it has a tv mostrar so it must be good)
The chronicles of narnia series (read entire series and for some reason it took me a while to figure out what happened at the end)
The poison study trilogy (sci-fi yet cute)
His dark materials trilogy (That is a series tu really need to read)
That's all I can think of at the moment...

Have tu read The Alchemyst por Michael Scott? It's the first in a series of 5 (so far) books. I recently started lectura it with my son, and it definitely meets the fantasía category.
