Why are there some people comparing One Direction to Black Veil Brides?

I mean, aside the fact that Im not a fan of One Direction and Im a huge Black Veil Brides fan, but I dont see why people would compare them.

They dont dress the same. Their música arent even remotely the same. I cant really name off many similarities that would draw people to compare them besides they have 5 guys in a band, but that would mean a lot of people would be compared to a lot of people. Just curious.
