Shards of glass flew all over the room. Claude shielded Alois from them, Alois crouching squeezing his eyes shut and cowering underneath his butler for protection. When it all stopped, Claude released his grasp on Alois and cautiously got up. Alois did the same, and when he opened his eyes, both gasped at what just had crashed through the window.
From a distance, it appeared human. However, it was impossible to be human. Its ears were pointed, like those of an elf. And it had something on its back....wings, Alois presumed. Then it spoke.

But Koboi ignored the boy's words. Her hand searched in her pocket...and pulled out a sonix grenade.
"Stop your bickering, Mud Boy!" she tossed her head back and cackled as she pressed its button.
In an instant, both were on the ground, howling in pain from the sound waves attempting to shatter their eardrums.
But Opal, who was wearing earplugs, survived it without flinching. She watched them for a few minutes. Pathetic. she thought. THESE are the ones who we hide from in Haven? I see no need to fear them. When she had met her satisfaction, she reluctantly turned off the device.
Alois was the first to get up, and with a glow of courage, walked up to the pixie and yeeled to her face, "What on earth was THAT?!"
