That evening, the funeral for Lydia's grandmother was held. After the funeral, Lydia broke down once again. John hugged her and said, "It's all right, love. We're here for you." She continued to cry. Catherine said, "It's hard to lose a loved one. Trust me. I know. I've lost a lot of loved ones during the past twenty-four years of my life." Lydia said, "I know tu have. I'd never once say I had it worse than you." Pattie felt bad for Lydia, especially since neither of them had any grandparents left. Pattie then said, "Oh, Lydia, I wish I could do something to make tu feel better." Lydia said, "Just talk to me, Pattie, and I'll be all right." Pattie said, "All right. I'll keep talking to you." The siguiente morning, Lydia paid her final respects to her grandmother before the burial. As they left, Gavin asked, "Do tu ever visit your grandparents' graves, Lydia?" She replied, "No. The thing is, they're not there. What's the point?" Marie asked, "You mean tu never considered putting flores on their graves?" Lydia said, "I never considered it. There's no point in it. There is a lyric from a song called 'Gone Away' por the Offspring that sticks with me. 'Black rosas and hail Marys, I can't bring back what's taken from me.' Leaving flores on their graves won't bring them back. If it would bring them back, I'd do it." Rebecca said, "That makes sense when tu put it into that perspective." John said, "And people tend to steal flores from graves." Catherine added, "And some people do worse things than that." Lydia said, "Such as draw sickening symbols on them." She shuddered at the thought. Pattie said, "I'd rather not think about that." Marie said, "Let's not." That day, Lydia, John, and their friends ate lunch at a local diner. Lydia said, "This was one of my favorito! places to eat when I lived here." After lunch, Lydia showed John and her friends where she went to school. She said, "The high school seemed so big when I attended it. Now it doesn't seem so big." Catherine asked, "How many years have tu been out of high school?" Lydia replied, "Eight, going on nine." Gavin said, "It doesn't seem possible. tu graduated right before I started high school." John said, "I've been out of high school the same amount of time." Marie asked, "Will tu go to your high school reunion?" Lydia said, "No, I will not." John said, "I won't go either. This is how I feel about high school reunions. If I haven't contacted someone in twenty years, there's probably a reason." Everyone laughed. Pattie said, "I don't blame you. My classmates weren't that great." Lydia said, "Some of mine were all right, but I wasn't very close with many of them. My problem was that I was often surrounded por idiots." Catherine remarked, "It's not a good feeling, is it?" Lydia said, "No. It's all right now, though. I'm surrounded por awesome friends instead." Rebecca said, "Aw! We amor you, too, Lydia." The group shared a hug and headed back to Lydia's childhood home.

This articulo is a special request from Kayla. So, here I go.

I know you've been feeling down recently, and that this Valentine's día is going to be más painful for you. Your life hasn't always been easy, and I'm really sorry for everything you've been through.

However, I just would like to remind tu that tu are never alone. The friends that you've made here care deeply about you, and we're always ready to support you. If the clouds get dark, I'm here to help tu find the silver lining.

I admire that, despite all of the bad things that happened, tu never became bitter. No matter what other people say, tu are wonderful just the way tu are. Remember that tu are loved forever!

Also, remember the lyrics to one of my all-time favorito! Beatles songs: "Any time at all, all tu gotta do is call, and I'll be there."

Peace and love

The siguiente day, Lydia was at another veterinary clinic to look for a new job. The receptionist told her to wait where she was. Lydia sat and waited. While she was waiting, she noticed someone crying. She asked, "Are tu okay?" The younger woman said, "I just had to have my dog put to sleep." Lydia said, "I'm sorry to hear that." The younger woman said, "I'll never be happy again." Lydia said, "That's just the grief talking." The younger woman asked, "How do tu know?" Lydia said, "When my dog, Fluffer Nutter, passed away, I thought I would never be happy again, but things got better with time."...

The siguiente día after breakfast, Lydia went out to look for a job at the local rescue shelter. The owner of the shelter said, "I'm sorry. We're not hiring anyone right now." Lydia said, "Okay. Well, thanks anyway." The owner of the shelter said, "Good luck in finding a new job." Lydia looked for jobs at other places she thought she would enjoy, but she didn't have any luck. At lunch time, Lydia decided to meet John and the others for lunch. She told them the bad news. Catherine said, "I'm sorry your job buscar was unsuccessful." Gavin said, "I'm sorry, too." Marie said, "I'm sure you'll find something....

The siguiente morning, Lydia got up and joined John for breakfast. John did most of the talking, which usually didn't happen. He asked, "Lydia, are tu feeling all right, darling?" She said, "No. I didn't sleep well last night." He said, "I'm sorry." She said, "I still feel down about losing my job. I enjoyed it before my boss turned so mean and nasty." John put a hand on Lydia's shoulder. He said, "You'll find a new job that tu amor just as much, maybe even more. It will be all right with time. You'll see." Later, when Lydia was taking a nap, she heard a knock on the door. She got up to see who...

One day, as Lydia was working, minding her own business, her boss came up to her and started yelling at her for no reason at all. She dicho to him, "Listen here. I don't know who pissed in your Cheerios, but that's no reason to take it out on me. I didn't do anything to you!" He said, "Well, I feel like yelling, and you're here, so guess what!" She threw a quarter at him and said, "Here's a quarter! Call someone who cares!" He said, "You're fired!" She put on Foxy's lead, and as she headed out the door, she said, "Goodbye, monkey's butt, and those are the last words you're going to hear from...

The siguiente day, everyone woke up for the last día of 2023. After breakfast, Lydia, John, and their friends went out and got supplies for their party that evening. Afterwards, they took Foxy for a morning walk. Pattie asked, "How big do tu think Foxy will get?" Lydia said, "He could grow a little more, considering that cachorritos reach their full size at ten months, but I doubt he'll get much bigger than he is right now." Catherine said, "You'd be surprised. My Gerberian Shepsky took a pretty big growth spurt in just two months. That's from the German Shepherd in him." That evening, Lydia, John,...

The siguiente morning, Lydia, John, and their friends left Lydia's childhood inicial after breakfast. On the way back to Tennessee, Marie said, "Lydia, your aunt and uncle are full of malarkey. How did tu put up with them for all those years?" Lydia said, "They never really came around very often. They were around más in my adulthood than during my childhood." Rebecca asked, "Why do tu suppose they came around más towards the end of your grandmother's life?" Lydia said, "My grandmother had caregivers around the clock. My aunt and uncle didn't like that. They came in to mess up the caregivers' schedules,...
