I think, because the story line was complete. tu see, most movie sequels are made when the story line is not complete, o they want a twist to the tale. For example, it happens with some traditional tales as well. Like, 'Cinderella' of Walt disney was a traditional tale. They wanted to add a twist to it and made its sequel, 'Cinderella 2:Dreams Come True'. I know, how most of us amor this movie and want some good stuff like this in the future too, but its all up to Mattel!

Even I hope that they come up with a new storyline for this movie too!
But, tu know, as of now, none of the barbie cine have had a segundo part. Because Mattel wants every barbie Movie to be hit and popular and shouldn't match completely with the others.
