gist of it: air nomads go bad and were using the fuego nation the whole time.

how?
-we don't know too much about the airbenders besides "What everyone knows" ex. they're peaceful, etc

setting: fuego lord dead. but the war rages on.

azula thinks she can claim herself firelordess in a half destroyed nation. but she actually learns her fathers were puppets to these stormbenders.now that the firenation has been compremised, they society of stormbenders go all macho, and accept azula as a general.

-a young group resembling the dai li in the air namad nation discovered the great potentional of their bending. más destructive and useful than earth, fire, water. in a society of practicing peace, they knew better to keep it secret. for years they practiced their storm bending (bad air bending)they found an abandoned cathedral secluded in the outskirts of eastern air temple. (would be great oppertunity for artists to impess)all this went on a generation before aang was born

-they were in the process of converting the airbenders to bad. there were good guys like master paku, who held to his convictions of peace por keeping together a resistence to the rebellion.

-but he knew that he couldn't win with nonviolent attack methods. so he resorted/consulted with the friendly fuego nation for protection. what paku didn't know was that the leader of the rebellion had already been sealing an alliance with the firelord to expand their empires together. the fuego nation was once simple, untamed, and easily persuasive. although both nations wanted to take over on their own, the firenation needed the stormbenders to lead them to evil.
to prove the firenation's loyalty, the firelord informed the stormbenders and arranged to take advantage of the good airbenders'misinformity.

-on the día of no sky, the good airbenders were strategically attacked por the stormbenders as the firebenders watched. the 30 storm benders were secretly adopted into the firenation and help on to their position with their indisposible military genious, manipulation, and obvious bending capabilities.

-air can put out fire.
but air can also feed fire;
firebenders can have double the force with the airbenders help, but the same airbenders can put their fires out like * that.

-the stormbenders kept their status forr the 100 years. in season 4, you'll get to see their 48 decendants impressively fight back the aang gang.

-of the good airbenders, those who were not killed were taken captive.

only 2 escaped to the northern water tribe for refuge, and told the somewhat sketchy water tribe
about the firenations intentions, allowing the tribe to put up their defenses from the start, maintaining a prosperious empire. they left the southern tribe vonerable. (personal issues and rivalries gone too serious)

-Everything fell in place for the fuego nation. because of the air nomads uncharactoristic division, they were able to finally get rid of them all together so that they could get rid of the avatar so that they could take over all the nations. this was probably the only intentional thing they did. the only trouble now was getting rid of the avatar.

-the remaining airbenders in captivity were all kids put into a camp. its purpose was to raise up a new generation of stormbenders and to pescado out the avatar to be destroyed. the kids had to perform well, but not too well as to seem like the avatar. paku was tortured for many years for avatar info.

-a notable camper was willow. although the kids were all stormbenders, their hearts were still good. the group escaped 3 years later. they went looking their whole lives for aang to reclaim history. willow's internal conflict is the line between master airbending and stormbending.

-there could be a spin off on all the adventures these kids in buscar of the avatar, dodging the attacks of the evil storm and firebenders. meeting up with the 2 lost airbenders in the watertribe.

-the kids, now old men and women, retire in the earth kingdom to have families, increasing their numbers. for generations they hide their bending and tell the secret stories of the reason why they are there. the earth kingdom never changes.

willows lineage carries the wisdom of master paku. it's this airbender that is able to act as paku for aang. so we don't have to wonder, how much más wise as powerful aang could have been had he been trained until he was 16 o older.
so willow's granddaughter becomes aangs airbending teacher. teaching aang más than advanced airbending, but spiritual stuff as well.

this whole society of airbenders in the earth
kingdom have grown inpersonal with the original mission as none of them were actually there in the camps o the día of no sky, but they still fantasize for the avatar to gather them up.

-aang is upset that non of them revealed themselves to him. he's been so alone. upset. believing that all his people were gone. he's told por the guru. who himself is a decendent who chooses not to bend. the guru also tells aang that the airbenders are waiting for him. the guru estimates 350 airbenders. they await the avatar because they know that he'll only call when he's ready. so the guru teaches aang all this stuff and after 1 o 2 episodes, aang is ready. he gets back in touch with the avatar state/spiritual stuff (assuming he doesn't in season3) he asks how he is to get 350 airbenders. the guru tells him that in their stories, the avatar will make 4 arrow-shaped clouds pointing south. for the siguiente few episodes, aang would train the group of fast learning airbenders to attack the mighty stormbenders. there's a little dissention between the lead airbenders. isn't war wrong? but the common airbenders are robotically loyal to the avatar, having been waiting for this time to openly bend to their potention. as the training is going on, the same episodes will mostrar and coming up with his strategies with zuko and sokka, and willow.

azula, sick of the stormbenders, eventually joins the aang gang. along with her whole posse of daeli and other firebenders.

how it ends? i don't know.

when the firelord dies, why is there still a war? because the airbenders are the real driving force behind the war. now the mission is to destroy the storm benders with the airbenders. this obviously is hard for aang to swallow. where is his alliegence?
all the faces have changed.
the watertribes have a comprimizing side
airbenders are wicked if not self controlled
firenation is powerful, but not necessarily bad
earthkingdom is the only constant.

I feel as though a lot of people are under the impression that Ozai treated Azula nicely. Yes he did indeed buy her all these nice things but at the end of the día she was pretty much just a pawn to him. Azula may have had her father's respect, but it didn't seem like she had his love.

While yes--as far as we know--Ozai never put his hands on Azula, the verbal abuse was apparent. She is afraid of him. Whist we haven't really seen him abuse her verbally I think it was hinted when he yelled at her before declaring himself the phoenix king. I also couldn't imagine he let her down easy behind the...
