this is the only one I've read so far and it's great! but i think I will truly decide once I've read all of them

It's the only one I've read [well most of it] but I liked it.

that was a toghie. it was between anne of ingleside and anne of the island. i went with ingleside b/c i thought less people would vote for it.

all the books were awesome but the later books in the series didnt focus too much on anne and gilbert!!

I LOVE this book, although it was a tough choice between Rilla, Rainbow Valley and Anne's House of Dreams (I LOVE Leslie and Owen's story and Capt. Jim). But I just love Rilla's relationship with Ken, and I love Jimmy. The second characters are amazing, and I just love the emotions and situations which arise due to the War.

Anne of the Island comes in first, then House of Dreams, then Rilla of Ingleside

It was close between Anne of green gables (love Anne as a kid)and Rilla of ingleside

I think the answers are really askew. I totally understood that Anne of Green Gables was first, just chose Rilla cuz it made me cry more, but... Anne of Windy Poplars? Are you kidding me? Also, L.M. Montgomery wrote this book as an afterthought... she wrote it after having "finished" the whole saga. Same with Anne of Ingleside and Rainbow Valley. I do admit that the last ones lack Anne, the most beloved character of the whole series, though.

Anne of the Island is a close second.

Then Anne of Green Gables is third.
