Kyo is cool, but the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya has a way better storyline than Fruits Basket. (no offense meant, both are great! Just Kyon is better)

They're both my favorite character from the anime/manga series that they belong to, but I'll have to go with Kyo, considering that I loved Fruits Basket, and I couldn't put up with more than five episodes of the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
