When either the lyrics o the animación gives away things about the plot that are supposed to be revealed over time, killing any suspense o curiosity.

Example: Travel way back in time to 1995. The whole plot of the first season of Sailor Moon was discovering new scouts & finding that damned princess. The opening theme told & showed us the identity of absolutely everyone before the first episode even started. Admittedly the Japanese theme also gave away the scouts, but they kept the mask on Tuxido Kamen & left out the princess.
