Full Metal Alchemist, mainly because it is fairly tame, as far as anime goes. Also watch Shuffle, Cowboy Bebop, Rave Master, One Piece (4kidz English dub) and stuff like the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Fairy Tail and Lucky Star.

Don't watch:

-Bleach (too much blood and violence)

-Anything with ecchi, hentai, yaoi, o yuri in it.

-Deathnote (the principle is a bit too old for you, no offense)

-Gantz (its bloodthirsty)
