anime Pregunta

Does anyone else have problems with english voices?

Because over the summer, I watched Ouran High School Host Club, and once I was done with it, I could strongly say, Tamaki was my fave guy.

Then I started Watching Vampire Knight, and once I heard Zero talk.......I Honstly thought he would say something like

"Yuuki!!!!!After I drink your bloood will tu put on a dress, I'm your father so do as i say :D :D"

Don't hate me, but Everytime Zero speaks, All I can think of is 'What would Tamaki say?" Then in my own head Zeros hugging Yuuki in a miniskirt.

Anyone else have something like this happen?

i actually prefer the English voices because its easier to understand the plot and tu can watch the anime rather than have to read it, if i wanted to read my anime i would have read the manga. but sometimes they do a bad job of picking out the voice actors and that's how tu get problems like that.

Personally, I hate the English voices in anime! About half the time they sound generic o fake! D<

But not all of them are bad...Like Bleach is okay to watch in English...

Honestly it depends.
Like with Vampire Knight and When They Cry, the english dub was awful! XP I prefered it subbed in english.

But with Ranma 1/2,Clannad,Soul Eater,Ouran High School Host Club, etc. I liked the dubbed version. :D

So, it depends.

Actually I prefer the Dubs, even though the 4kids Dubs I will admit were atrocious<-Yes I went there :P,I mean others like FUNimation (they dubbed FMA,Case Closed etc.) and it was so awesome!^^ So I kind of am 75/25 on it the 25 is Pokemon and anything 4Kids dubbed was completely better in Japanese because they make a teenage mostrar into 4-12 mostrar taking out all the violence and giving annoying voices >.< with the Exception of Dan Green and Veronica Taylor..and TPCI was not any better :P

It honestly depends on the voice actors/acting. Sometimes I amor the anime in english más than japanese (angel beats!, black butler, inuyasha, etc.), sometimes I amor the anime in japanese más than english (k-on!, puella magi madoka magica, tsuritama, etc.), and other times I amor them in both (lucky star)!

Though, recently while I was watching KNA I realized "Hey Apollon really does sound like Haru from Tsuritama when he says that." Figured I'd look it up, yep, same voice actor. It's not just english dub that that happens.

I know some people might say that it is easier to follow the series...but I have to disagree.
And after all, whenever I watch something, I wanna listen to the original voices, no matter what.
The only dubs I can watch are the greek dubs for anime such as Pokemon and Sailor Moon, because I grew up watching them that way.

I don't have a problem with English voices per say, but I prefer the subs since it's a lot easier for me. I'm hearing impaired so when I watch subs I won't have to worry about mishearing what the characters are saying since I'd just be reading^_^
