debate Topic 16: What would make the perfect anime, in your opinion?

Let me give tu an example of mine: A story set in modern times with heavy supernatural elements that are based off of historical references. Each character is fully developed with their own individual personalities and ideals and no two characters are the same. The series would basically follow an interesting and unconventional main character but would also focus heavily on the individual stories of each and every one of the other characters to give the universe an extreme deep feel to it.

If I cast the voices, I would have a field day. I would choose voice actors who I amor and I'm cure can portray every character perfectly (people like Miyuki Sawashiro and Tomokazu Seki, my two favorito! seiyuus, would parte superior, arriba my list). The emotion they can put and the way they can bring anyone watching into the character would be essential.

Genre? Shonen. While I'm not exactly fond of the series in the genre these days, shonen is generally known for having a massive cast, interesting fighting scenes, and long stories divided into several arcs. Done right, I can only see the whole thing as being awesome. Just take the complicated nature of psychological, stick the forever loved supernatural into it, and envolver, abrigo shonen around the whole thing to keep it together, and you've got exactly what I want to see.

No need to go into as much detail as this: I just dream of seeing the perfect anime día in and día out. I'm simply curious to see what goes through the minds of others.

...far from it. If anything, if tu took To aru Majutsu no Index, Nasu-verse, Monogatari Series, Baccano, and Durarara and put them all together, tu might get what I want. At least, something close.

Not so good on the details of voice actors, but I do have a pretty detailed idea of what it would look like...

Hm. I guess I pay a lot más attention to the voices than most people. Still, I have to praise tu on getting your thoughts together and turning your favorito! idea into an rp. I wish I could do that...

I had this one in the works for ages, been a concept that I've been monkeying with over and over in my mind. The character designs only came to me just before I started it, mainly because all of my other ideas were either way too weak o overpowered to a ridiculous level.

Mine would be quite similar to yours Exorcist. Here's where mine differs:
Story is set in the near future where the world appears pretty normal, but under the surface is heavily dystopian; unorthodox supernatural themes (so not the typical supernatural stuff tu see everywhere) run throughout the story and most of the world is aware of it.
Series follows a main character with questionable/bizarre morals who uses his intellect rather than power to overcome problems.

Don't know many voice actors so I'm empty on that front... that being dicho Fumihiko Tachiki would definitely be one.

A subtle blend of shōnen and seinen (leaning más toward the shōnen because I amor an interesting fight scene). Unexpected twists, shocking WHAM episode(s), a few WTF moments, lots of nightmare fuel, lots of fridge brilliance/horror and a storyline unafraid to appropriately kill off main characters (good o bad).

That would be my cup of tea.

Interesting. tu like Fumihiko Tachiki a lot? That's Sakazuki's seiyuu, isn't it?

Yes he is :D I blame Kenpachi Zaraki for my enjoyment of Fumihiko Tachiki's voice.

An anime based around an interesting idea, for a start. The idea, ideally, would be something based around adventure, perhaps the exploration of another Universe from Earth, where everything operates around different laws of physics, like gravity is pretty mashed up and objects behave differently, as well as being seen in different perspectives. To add to this, would be the idea of science being, especially physics, being utilised in this, as well as astronomy featuring heavily, along with an advanced idea of what the creator vistas el espacio as being, o rather, the entire universe.

To sello the deal, the characters would have to be constructed to the absolute finest details, being interesting, without being cliche, and having some very intrepid ideas of el espacio and the Universe, as well as dimensional travel. They would really have to be perfect. The voice actors would also have to be very good, too, más focusing that part on the dubbed actors, since English dub can easily go wrong (look at 4kidz One Piece dub LOL).

Finally, the storyline would have to correspond to the ideas behind the anime, while making sure that all of the science is correct, or, at least, fantasized in an acceptable way. It wouldn't go for too long, but not cut off too short, either... preferably about the length of Full Metal Alchemist.

Lastly, the música would need to be heavily futuristic, yet with a paino sound for some of them, as well as some electronic ones and quirky ones... as long as I liked them, then that would be acceptable.

Jeez, I'm a fussy person. Lol.

yeah, the English voice actuación i have came upon online are a bit...off...but somehow here at Animax the voices are almost perfect,really...its like they change it for the better rather than the ones online...or is it just me?

Well, I think it just depends on how talented the voice actors are (English). I have come across some really good dubs and some really bad ones. The dub of Cowboy Bebop is literally THAT good, enough that I literally didn't even bother with watching it in Japanese, which is usually what I would do with any anime. Also, I have heard of Animax, but know siguiente to nothing about it, so I can't comentario on that facet of your comment, I'm afraid.

well,in my opinion...

1)the characters must mostrar development, even if they are just support characters,at least give them some love

2)the story must be well thought out and executed from start to finish(nuff said)

3)instead of mashing fan service, the anime must concentrate entirely on the storyline, extra cooltime episodes are fine, but seriously...there better be más of those than fan service

4)The voice actresses/actors must be at least decent and suits the character they are portraying...for example Kurumi from fecha A Live, the voice is perfect for the seductive character she is (i publicado a video below,so that tu could hear a sample of her voice acting)

5)The character visual designs must be at least decent, yeah yeah, dont judge a book por its cover...but tu know, most of us do that anyway

aaand that's what i have thought out :)

I agree with everything tu said, especially about character development... that's something I missed in my paragraph. Lol. I do like character development, in that the character is never perfect in the anime, just has a personality of some kind and they grow on that as a character, mostrando us that they can learn things about themselves and change even just a little.

I'm not going into depth about it, but what would make the perfect anime in my opinion would be a balance between romance, action, comedy, fantasía and all of the things in that nature. It's not an easy thing to do really because everyone has they're own opinion of what that balance would be, but if you're able to suite everyone's taste. You've made a perfect anime.
My personal taste:

-Amazing art work/Animation
-Unique characters.
-Fantasy.
-Action but not to much.
-Sound track techo-ish
-Futuristic ( but not mecha )
- Mix it with alice and wonderland.
-Amazing twist like Pandora Hearts.
- Strong bonds like in Naruto.
- Not to long but not to short.
- The way the characters would look I'm SUPER picky when it comes to that.
-More interesting female characters they all suck ass.
Make them independent.
-Mind adding reverse harem? jk
-There is no 'good guy' o 'bad guy'.
-Mystical creatures tu say? Add them all.
-Emotion, I'd like to experience every emotion.
- Characters? I wouldn't mind some of them being mad.
- Give me a good laugh.
- Romance but not to much.
- Voices never cared.

That's it.
