Lady Gaga MEAT dress!

When I heard that she wore a meat dress, I was like "What?!" I was SO shocked. I'm with tu on this, it's wrong! I'm a vegetarian, so it really offends me :'(

I get where she was going with it (the whole "be yourself, don't worry about what others think, let your crazy/creative side out"), but I think that was way over the parte superior, arriba and disgusting. Wearing animal skin is bad enough but wearing their meat? Really? In what way does wearing slaughtered raw cow scream "awesome!"? At least with pelaje, piel I can see the appeal (I don't agree, and I would never wear it myself): it's warm and soft. Raw meat is, I imagine, cold and slimy and, from what I've read, it didn't smell too good either.

Plus, there's so many problems going on with the economy in the U.S. and people are scrounging to make ends meat (pardon the pun). So, Lady GaGa makes a dress made of food. Can we say "blow to the underclass"?

Not only is it ethically wrong, but it isn't even appealing.

However, I'm wondering if she's trying to make a point? Wearing meat is like wearing fur, but unlike pelaje, piel meat actually does look like corpse bits. So I wonder if her reason in wearing it is actually because she's trying to mostrar the world what people are technically doing when they are wearing pelaje, piel o leather?

This may not be the case at all, of course. I'm just kind of hoping there is a reasonable explanation. This is... very disturbing.
