I'm a great admirer of what I know to fecha of Andrew Scott's body of work, but somehow have only now watched “Handsome Devil”. I have no argument whatsoever about casting but it struck me just towards the end of viewing that perhaps it could have been a más interesting casting choice for Mr Scott to have taken the role of the Sports teacher/rugby coach, rather than the inspirational English teacher Mr Sherry. Of course Mr Scott's natural sensibilities and actuación skills make him so well suited for the latter role, also dado that there would seemingly have been personal experiences to draw on for such an empathetic performance. Just thought it might have been quite interesting for him to have played the obsessional, macho rugby coach - might have dado an extra layer to that character, (albeit that it was indeed well cast in the film). Just a thought .... but what do I know ... maybe Andrew Scott might have enjoyed the challenge, as he seems to relish diversity of roles ... again, just saying ...
