Why not, it would add a whole new element to the story. " Alex ran across the open field, the faint yells of un-lucky souls echoed in his mind, then it happened. The first shot fired at 12:06. Alex hit the ground with not a moment to spare. The problem was, the shooter wasn't aiming for Alex. The tranquilizer dart ripped through Sabina's right shoulder. Alex immediately hopped of the ground as a ricochet of broken glass hit his legs. He grabbed Sabina, and ran. He heard a familiar voice in his head. It was Fox, the man he had trained with for the SAS. "Just run" It was strange as fox and never said that to him, it seemed as if it was the only thing he remembered of his friend."

It adds a whole new element of the story, not only keeping his self alive, but keeping a inept girl alive!

sabina's my favorite character! i can see how you guys hate her, she's a little to flirty-y sometimes, but she's just a normal high school girl, which is what I think alex needs sometimes to keep him grounded

I kinda like it better when Alex goes on missions alone, ya know? It kinda ruins the "effect" having someone like Sabina with him. Not that I hate her or anything...well actually I do, but that's not my reason...not really...

I think something new for once that doesn't die on stage, ya' know? (Like the CIA agents in Skeleton Key) I would prefer if he got something like a "hidden partner" to make it still look like he goes solo but a shadow lurks to his aid (like Fox/Ben in Scorpia)except it's through most of the book instead of 4 pages (light click, another base, shoot for kill and hospital/not name of chapters or books but events in Scorpia). This would be something I would envision IF that happened.

Alex tried going to sleep but his thoughts kept him awake. How would he escape before dawn? And if he could, how would he pass the guards all around the cell? And how did they know where he kept his gadjets if he never told anyone he had them? And why kidnap him anyway? Who were these people, and why where they after just him? Ben was right next to him one minute, the next he woke up in a dark cell with noting but a note and a crack in the wall to small for his finger to fit through but big enough to shed enough light to see. In the middle of his thoughts he heard a gentle clanking sound. He was surprised to see the door open and decided to take his chances. When he opened it furthur and got out, he was surprised to see all the guards sleeping with not a gun in sight. Another note was on the ground in front of him.

Wouldn't THAT be better than him waiting far Sabina to rescue him?

If what DA said was true then it'd be the best book in the series so far

i love sabina, but it will distract alex and it will just turn into a romantic love novel! about sabina getting in trouble and alex having to save her.

I DO NOT WANT THAT! Lol, tho u could put that down to my I'D GIVE MY LIFE AND ALL I HAVE FOR ALEX crush' on him. But also it would be no helpful 4 Alex, she'd get in the way like SO MUCH as she isn't that clever,
And she doesn't take things serious! I don't hate her but I think shed b better as a sister-type relation to Alex. I'd just fit in better. Plus....I want Alex....😍 🤣🤣🤣
