Agents of SHIELD is set to get a notable cast addition for the second season with Spartacus: War of the Damned and Xena: Warrior Princess star Lucy Lawless.

TV Guide reports that Lawless — also known for her work on Battlestar Galactica and Parks and Recreation — is appearing in Agents of SHIELD: Season 2 in an unspecified role. Marvel isn\'t making public (at least not yet) how long the well-known actress will be on the ABC series.

However, we may learn a bit more about her role at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, with Agents of SHIELD having a panel at the enormous event. The second season will premiere September 23.
