Why Modern actrices Will Never Achieve The Grace Of Classic actrices

To those who don't know me, I'm isabellagirl033 and I'm here to express my opinion and declare a statement that has been in my mind for a long time:
"Modern actrices Will Never Achieve The Grace Of Classic Actresses"
There I dicho it, something many say but dont elaborate. There are many people who think that the modern era of actrices is better and I dont mean to offend them in any way. I happen to think that the beauty and decency of classic actress is unbeatable and will explain why so.

Note: I dont mean to bash modern actrices in any way possible. In fact, most of my favourite actrices happen to be part of the modern era.

1. Classic actrices Are Modest

I do not mean to say the being modest will determine whether a person is good o not but what I mean to say is a true beauty doesnt need to flash her skin to everyone to attract attention. The reason I believe that modesty is so important is that a person's dignity is most sensitive and dressing immodestly means that the person doesnt care at all about his o her dignity. Modesty is not about hiding your body from the world but to mostrar the world how much of a decent dignified person tu really are. Look at Grace Kelly back then in her beautiful modest mint-green vestido she wore at the Oscars and look at what Miley Cyrus wore in the most reciente VMA's. I think it is quite easy to see the difference and tell which one is better.

2. Classic actrices Have Natural Beauty

In these days, almost every actress depends on botox for her beauty and has probably had plastic surgery once in her actuación career. A marvelous fact about classic actrices is that they could manage to look beautiful without using any of the anti-aging factors used today por many.
Plastic surgery is risky business and tu might be unhappy with the result. Look what plastic surgery did to Joan Rivers. Though few of the modern actrices are all-natural but the majority happen to get botox injections. Heavy makeup only makes a person look gaudy and nothing conquers natural beauty. The below picture shows Janet Leigh, who never had plastic surgery and Jennifer Aniston, who had a nose job and is a user of botox. Still in my opinion, Janet Leigh is better looking.

3. Modern actrices Are Copy-Cats

Almost every look that the modern actrices don, a similar one has been worn por a classical actress. The beauty and grace of modern actress was such that modern actrices cant help but copy it. To make a true fashion statement, the look must be original and new which is seldom seen nowadays. Copying is not a great virtue but a bad one as it doesnt require any effort but to simply swipe an old look. A great example of modern actrices copying classic actrices is Marilyn Monroe, who left behind such a great legacy that it is still being copied on red carpet,photoshoots,TV and in cine as seen below.

4. Classic actrices Are más Inspiring

A fact that I'm pretty sure of is that a sane mother would very much prefer Shirley Temple to be her daughter's role model rather than Selena Gomez o Miley Cyrus o Britney Spears. Classic actrices have inspired a whole generation of girls with their amazing wadrobe and decent manner. Nowadays several TV series mostrar young girls dressed in revealing attire such as crop tops and short shorts which sends a very bad message to girls. Many young actrices have been charged with drug abuse for example Lindsey Lohan, Miley Cyrus etc. something tu wuld rarely see back in the Golden Age. Classic actrices send better messages to their fans as seen in the below picture which compares each of the sayings of Grace Kelly and Cameron Diaz. I guess it is pretty easy to spot which is más sensible.

Clothing and the idea of how it should be worn have evolved over time. Women have decided that it's not their job to keep a man's mind out of the gutter. What you see as modest and decent now might've been called trashy or indecent by elders at the time. (An ankle! How will the poor boys control themselves in the presence of this whore?!) Modern women can wear what they want to wear, and not what some outdated societal standard dictates. (And that way is "perfect".) Maybe classic actresses would've tried botox or had a nose job if the procedures had been as simple and available as they are now. Clothes are just clothes. A person's actions are much more important. I don't think it's fair to generalize all (or most of) modern actresses based on a few extreme examples. Yeah, Miley takes the 'wear what you want' thing a little further than most. Sure, Britney and Lindsay have had some troubles. These few examples might not make the best role models, but there are plenty of actresses nowadays who do, and it's not based on what they wear. It's 2016. Women can do, and wear, whatever the hell they want.

Being modest does not mean to stick to a specific dress code, it means we can dress in any way we want if it covers ourselves and is comfortable. I do agree that men need to control their selves but if a women walks around in a bra and shorts and a men catcalls her, it is also partly her fault. If the community and media is sexist it doesnt mean that the actress should fall victim to their demands and go under the knife. There are many examples of actresses getting more ugly after plastic surgery thus meaning that plastic surgery is not always benefical. You cant argue the fact that the blonde hair and red lips look was first donned by Marilyn Monroe. Whenever we see a picture of a women wearing red lipstick and sporting platinum blonde tresses the first thing we usually think is "Marilyn Monroe". Sure if a actress wants to copy Marilyn's look she can but that doesnt mean she isnt a copy-cat. Clothes in fact do reveal a major part of someone's personality. If one is a hippie she will wear bright vibrant colors. If one is a emo fan she will most likely wear black ripped jeans and have a green mohawk. If someone is wearing white collar shirt and black skirt with glasses and holding books, she is a geek. DarkSarcasm Everyone has their own idea of what is modest and isn't, so you're right in that it's not specific. It varies by country, age, body type, religion, and most notably, gender. It's something that women have to deal with. When's the last time a man was chastised for not being modest enough? Men will catcall and harass women regardless of what they're wearing. Jeans, crop top, long-sleeved floor-length dress. Doesn't matter. That's not the woman's fault. Everyone is aware that plastic surgery can go wrong. But it still happens because of the pressure to look a certain way. Actresses "fall victim" to appearance demands because, well, they want to work. Women with the desired weight, shape, nose, and hair color are the ones who get hired. (Not just in the film industry, this translates over to average life too.) It was probably easier for the classic actresses to remain natural, because running to the doctor for a quick touch-up wasn't really an option yet. Now it's practically expected. Blonde hair and red lips was Monroe's signature look, sure, and I'm sure a lot of actresses pay homage to her when they don red lipstick or that hairstyle for a photoshoot. I think it's a little harsh to accuse them of being "copy-cats". I still stand by my comment that actions are more important than clothes. I can appreciate a hippie's clothes, but if I [b]like[/b] said hippie, it's not only because of her clothes. That's not what defines a person. Although I disagree with just about everything you said in your article (ha), you do have a way with words. I hope to see more from you. Who knows, maybe we'll even agree on something at some point. =P

I do agree that men are never judged and it is only women that fall victim to sexist comments. I have to admit that you certainly are a competent critic. Bye!
