It could be another secret that would take another 13 libros to get to, like some clue o an unknown secret about Count Olaf, o the Baudelaire parents, but there is a fact I DO know, Lemony Snicket was madly in amor with a married woman named Beatrice. With más I found Beatrice is the Baudelaire mother. She is married, and I guess she is dead, according to the Beatrice notes in the beginning of the books. When the orphans find that one of their parents may be alive, I'm guessing it was the father, even though I do not know this.
Snicket was probably planning to write más than 13 books, and introduced the sugar bowl for the readers to be intrigued and read the siguiente book. After a few libros tu can tell that he got tired of escritura the series, and tu can tell he is rushing a bit and ended the libros so suddenly por killing off Count Olaf, the main villain.
